KDS01 Optical Transmission Platform uses high-efficiency module-style switching power supply, hot plug available, electric power supply(（+18V/3.5A and+5V/15Atotal power consumption is 38W）undertakes the entire work of 10 plug-in units.

The modules of this equipment are controlled by microprocessor, each module can work independently, all having the function of hot plugging, all the 10 plug-in units are plug-and-play-styled, without any need of cutting off electric sources. The rack only functions as the module erection and interface switching-over, for containing no active parts of apparatus, thus highly reliable and dependable. KDS01, the backboard of each module has two RS485 interfaces, one is RS485 IN and the other is RS485 OUT, it can either conduct the monitoring over the state of every single module or execute network monitoring at remote-end through ring-connecting all the modules to network monitoring module at remote-end. network monitoring module can automatically identify every variety of module, and take out status parameters to conduct control efficiently. The network monitoring module has one RS485 interface and one RJ45 interface, which are in conformity with SNMP standards and can facilitate the feedback of all the data at each branch-headend to central-headend.
